Back from the WRW Retreat.

Just got back from my local RWA retreat. It was fantastic. I met some really great people, some were even published authors, too. LOL No really everyone was really fantastic. I can't say enough good things about this group of women. This was my first retreat but not my last. I've learned so much, and a lot of good possibilities opened up for me so we'll see where these lead.

Getting Old!

Yesterday was my oldest daughter's birthday. I looked at this poised, intelligent, beautiful young lady and held her in awe. All she could talk about was that a year from the day, she'd have a driver's license. Whatever happened to my baby? I thought. But then I blinked and I saw her. I saw her as she was as she is and as she will always be to me, my baby.

Which is why I'm not even going to think about the whole driving thing until somebody twist my arm.

If I could give Come to Me a higher rating, I would because this story is fantastic! This couple’s passion jolted me like an amusement park ride that I never wanted to end. Baron is hooked the moment he hears Jasmine’s voice on the phone and hops a plane, just to go on a date with her. I loved the fact that he was so impulsive and sure of himself. The airport scene is etched in my mind as one of the hottest and most hilarious first meetings I have ever read. LaVerne Thompson, thank you for bringing the heat in this clever story.

Resignation

As many of you know I was an assistant manager for IMRR. Unfortunately I had to resign. My home life and writing life had gotten to the point I did not feel I could give IMRR the attention it truly deserves. While I am no longer part of management I am still very much a member and will always be part of the IMRR family.

So look for me on the boards. I'm still extremely opinionated.
